Beat the Summer Heat!
When the weather is hot, your body can be exposed to heat stroke, heat exhaustion and other heat-related problems.  Everyone is at risk in extreme heat,
particularly children, the elderly and pets.

Here are some things you should consider:

Avoid the sun as much as possible

Use fans and air conditioning whenever possible

Drink fluids, particularly water, as needed


 

Wear a hat and/or use an umbrella to block the
sun's rays

Cover your skin with loose-fitting clothing


 

If you can, reschedule any activities that might be
done outdoors


 

If you can, reschedule any activities that are
overly-strenuous


 

And remember, pets and children should NEVER be
left in cars, vans or other vehicles

If you feel as if you may be experiencing heat cramps, heat exhaustion, heat stroke or other heat-related symptoms, we urge you to seek help immediately.
