"Bring Your Child to Work Day" Opens Eyes to Health Care Careers

Children of employees learned about hospital departments and functions at Trinitas Regional Medical Center's first "Bring Your Child to Work Day" in May. Forty young people participated in the program that included breakfast and visits to Central Supply, the Lab, the Library, the Operating Room, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Radiology at the Williamson Street Campus. Gary S. Horan, FACHE, President & CEO, and Glenn Nacion, Vice President of Human Resources, welcomed the young visitors who ranged in age from 8 to 16. Robert Donegan, Director of Security, also participated as a guest speaker. The students enjoyed lunch courtesy of Trinitas Foundation trustee, Norman Lichtman, and Nathan Blau, owner of the Burger King franchise in Elizabeth. An ice cream social brought a "sweet" ending to the eventful day.
