2008: Elisabeth Jacobsen Marrapodi, Director of Library Services received Library Journal's 2008 Mover and Shaker award. This award identifies emerging leaders in librarianship. Elisabeth received the award due to her innovative pursuit of alternative training in medical and consumer health areas using web 2.0 tools and pushing the boundaries of traditional librarianship and delivery of health-care information.
Our mission is to provide current, essential and comprehensive
information, resources and library services to the Medical Staff, Nursing
and Allied Health Departments, all hospital employees and students, as well
as access to information for patients and their families.

ICE means In Case of Emergency. It's a new proactive program designed
to provide emergency personnel with your "next of kin" emergency contact
list via your cell phone in emergency situations if you are unable to give
the information yourself.
How Is It Done?
Simply put the letters ICE with any emergency contact name in your cell
phone address book. It's that easy!
