Heart Smart!™ Employees Understand the Language of Rhythms
Sixteen Trinitas employees recently received Certificates of Completion from
the Education Department following the 20-hour Basic Cardiac Rhythm
Interpretation Course they attended. As an approved provider of continuing
education programs by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the
Education Department awarded the participants 24 contact hours upon
completion of the course. At the outset of the course, instructor Connie
Kozachek, RN, MSN, CCRN, BC, emphasizes the difficulty of accurately reading
cardiac rhythms by noting that, "reading a rhythm strip is like reading a
foreign language ...until you learn the translation."
