Laser Treatments Offered For Women
Through laser treatments, physicians are able to treat a wide range of skin
conditions, from spider veins and ingrown hair through rosacia and age
spots.
"Five years ago I saw the extent of the improvements that could be made with
lasers," says Kamran Khazaei, MD, FACOG, member of the Department of
Obstetrics & Gynecology at Trinitas Hospital. "Utilizing cutting-edge
techniques and modern technology, we've been able to obtain dramatic results
for our patients."
A member of the International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons and the
American Society of Laser Medicine, Dr. Khazaei says the "fantastic
potential" of lasers, which deliver an intense pulse light, are able to
treat acne, rosacia and age spots. Lasers are also used to remove unwanted
or ingrown hair, remove warts, treat spider veins, reduce the visibility of
small blood vessels on the face, and stimulate collagen formation to give
fullness back to the face.
In addition to laser treatments, Dr. Khazaei also offers non-laser
treatments such as microdermabrasion, which uses fine particles at high
speed to remove a superficial layer of skin from the face. The procedure
treats fine wrinkles and sun damaged skin, enabling new, smoother skin to
grow in its place. Recently, Dr. Khazaei began offering "Thermalift," a
radio frequency procedure that provides a tightening to the skin on the face
and body.
